The 5th generation Prius is the most no Prius ever made...it's actually fun to drive and quick. The added expense of the plug-in should be able to be recouped if you drive under 40 miles a day most days and always plug it in. To go 40 miles on EV only takes 13 kWh which would cost $1.30-$2.10 depending on your electricity cost. For us it's free as we get free unlimited power every night. I think for an economy car it is a really good vehicle. I do wish it had more what I consider normal features like rear seat back pockets, high quality 360 camera, and rear heated seats.
