Si d'habitude je sous traite la fabrication des étuis cuirs, pour ce qui est du bois, c'est un process que j'apprécie faire. Ici, les sayas sont en peuplier pour l'une et en sapin pour l'autre, deux bois léger, gainé de cuivre et de fil de lin encollés, pour rappeler le montages des manches des deux pièces. Cet ensemble sera proposé lors du Salon du Couteau de Ceyreste, le weekend du 22 mars 2025 ! ____________________________________ Hello and welcome to my channel! Today, no forging, but another part of my work: wooden sheaths! While I usually outsource the making of leather sheaths, I enjoy crafting the wooden ones myself. Here, the sayas are made of poplar for one and pine for the other—two lightweight woods—wrapped in copper and glued linen thread, echoing the handle assembly of both pieces. This set will be showcased at the Ceyreste Knife Show on the weekend of March 22, 2025!
