This short documentary film tells the story about how a thousand year old ship came to life under the hands of a group of young interaction artists called Monobanda. The artwork is called Light on Wood. Light on Wood tells a tale across time. How the fleetingness of life can blind us to the beauty that surrounds us. Slowing down allows one to admire the finer details. The ship travels more slowly through time than the visitors and invites them to join in its slowed-down pace. The light art has become part of the ship. It's a synthesis of an archaeological masterpiece and a modern work of art. Light on Wood can be seen in Centraal Museum Utrecht in the Netherlands.
