Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier on the back of our 2023 GMC Yukon XL. Now, this is gonna be something that's gonna give you a space to put those items that are a little bit more dirty, grungy, or might have some spills soon, like concrete or any type of tools you might have. Keeping it outside of the vehicle is gonna make sure we don't get any mess inside of our vehicle. Now, what's really nice about this is you can put a lot back here. It is gonna be rated for 500 pounds. Just make sure that your vehicle is capable of carrying that back here so we don't damage anything. Well, let's talk about a couple measurements. So for the width of this, this is gonna be 60 inches by just about 23 inches. So that gives you an idea of how much you can put back here and make sure you are properly securing your loads. So you're gonna do that a couple different ways. I would recommend grabbing some rats traps and wrapping it completely around here so it gives you a pretty good hold. And you are gonna have little holes that go around here that look just like this, that your hooks can go in place of. What I wouldn't recommend doing though is hooking on to spots, like the bottom of this mesh right here. Reason why I wouldn't recommend doing that is 'cause those hooks could warp that mesh on the bottom and eventually damage something and it won't hold your gear as well. Now, we also need to take into consideration the height of our accessories or items back here. So if I open up our hatch, it's gonna make contact at around 14 inches. So you can open up this hatch full-time if those items sit below that. If not, you'll have to remove those items to gain access back here. We'll talk about measurements. Let's get a couple more. The next one I'd like to talk about is the total distance out that sits, and that's gonna be just under 28 inches. So this is gonna be fairly more compact. Cargo carriers compared to some other ones out there, but since we do have this on a large vehicle, make sure you can't fit into those really tight spots, like parking spots or garages. So the spot we want to take into account is gonna be the ground clearance. Now, the Yukon XL is a taller vehicle. So at this moment, we're gonna be a little bit over 22 inches, which is great. Even if you do have a lot of weight back here, this should only drop down by an inch or two. What I also like to take into account is stacking items back here. So I think if you stick around that 14 mark, we're not gonna block anything important. You could probably push it to about 16 or 17 without blocking anything else on the back of the vehicle, like your license plate, your backup camera, taillights, and back window. Now, the way this installs is, this is gonna go into your to 2-inch shank on your vehicle, and it does not come with a pin and clip, so you'll need to pick up one. We do have an option here at etrailer. And something else I have on here today is making sure this gives us a really good hold. 'Cause typically that's gonna wiggle around a little bit and make some noise. I actually have the etrailer anti-rattle device, so I'd recommend checking that out if you want a more of a quiet ride if you don't have anything back here at the moment. But that's pretty much it. Overall, I do think it is gonna be a solid choice for a cargo carrier if you're looking for something that's gonna be a little more lightweight and simple. Now, if you're looking for something that you wanna leave back here more full-time, but saves you space, I would recommend checking out the etrailer and cargo carrier because that has the ability to fold up. So if you're going on a trips, don't have anything back here at the moment, it won't take up as much space on the back of your vehicle. But it will be a lot heavier. So if you need something lighter, I'd go with this one. And if you guys have any other questions, let us know here at etrailer. And again, I'm Matt, and thanks to watching Narrator Here it is in our test course. We'll start by going through the slalom. This is gonna show us the side-to-side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. (device rattling) Next, we're at the alternating speed bumps
