Some of the strongest episodes of Batman: The Animated Series prove that Batman doesn’t need to dominate the screen to dominate the story. In this video, I look at P.O.V., one of the series’ more unusual episodes, a police procedural told almost entirely from the perspective of Gotham’s officers. Through conflicting testimonies, unreliable memories, and interrogation-room pressure, Batman becomes less of a character and more of an idea: a presence shaped by fear, guilt, and perception. This video talks about how Batman: The Animated Series uses limited screen time to strengthen Batman’s myth, how the episode borrows from Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon, and why shifting the focus to Bullock, Montoya, and Wilkes reveals more about the myth of Batman than a fight in a burning warehouse could. It also examines the role of authority, truth, and internal affairs, including the unresolved mystery of the criminals’ boss and how production cuts shaped the final episode. 🔔 Subscribe for more in-depth reviews and analyses of your favourite DC cartoons and comic books! 👍 If you liked the video don't forget to like, share, and leave a comment! 🔔 Click the bell icon to stay updated on future content! 🌟 Become a member for exclusive perks and early access! / @serumlake 🎶 Music by Katt Strike - listen to the whole track here: • Ambient Batman Music by @KattStrike | Bat... ✂️ Edited by @blueknightbeyond-shorts If you enjoyed this video I've got many more you could watch.
