How do we ensure that every student, regardless of what classes he or she elects to take, is exposed to computer programming? Beaver Country Day School has found that the best way to answer these questions is by incorporating coding into the core curriculum to ensure that all students will learn to write code before they graduate. Rather than simply requiring students to take a standalone coding course, teachers are trained to integrate coding concepts into classes such as math, science and art and emphasize topics such as creative problem solving rather than language syntax.
