The Hollamon sisters lit up the scoreboard as No. 10 Maryland (5-2, 1-0 Big Ten) dominated the No. 16 Penn State Nittany Lions (4-2, 0-1 Big Ten) 3-1 on Friday night. Both Josie and Jordyn Hollamon scored on Maryland corners (two of the nine that the Terps drew in the win) as the Terps outshot Penn State 20-3 in their second straight ranked win. Maryland opened the scoring in the final minute of the first corner on the Terps' second penalty corner in as many minutes. Josie Hollamon ripped a shot through the Nittany Lions' defense for her third goal of the season, putting the Terps ahead early. Fleur Knopert picked up her first assist on the icebreaking shot. Maryland dominated the second quarter, outshooting the Nittany Lions 5-0 and attempting a trio of penalty corners. Penn State had just one shot on in the first half, which came on its lone corner. Meanwhile, the Terps continued to pelt the Nittany Lions with penalty corners. Jordyn Hollamon drove home her fourth goal of the season on Maryland's eighth corner of the match. Maci Bradford and Annemijn Klijnhout both earned assists on the play. Perhaps the most impressive feat of the night came late in the third quarter as the Terps defended a yellow card without allowing as much as a shot. Penn State got on the board late in the closing minutes, but it was well after the Terps had built an ample cushion. Feliz Kuhne defied gravity on Wicked night in College Park, diving forward to tip in her first-career goal and push the lead to 3-0. Jordyn Hollamon picked up her third point of the night with and assist and Maryland held on for a huge Big Ten win.
