Kimble, suspecting child abuse, rushes to confront the father, assaults him and threatens him, ordering him not to hurt the child again. Later, in Miss Schlowski's (Linda Hunt) office, he apologizes. She reveals to him that she knows he never had any teaching experience. However, she congratulates him about the work he has done and asks him if it felt good to punch the father of the boy. After apprehending drug dealer Cullen Crisp (Richard Tyson), Detective John Kimble (Arnold Schwarzenegger from Terminator and Junior) and his new partner Phoebe O'Hara (Pamela Reed from Bean) are sent on a mission to Astoria, Oregon.
