SVEEP Program Held at Govt. Middle School Churanda, Zone Uri A SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) program was successfully organized today at Government Middle School Churanda, located near the Line of Control (LOC). The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voting and encourage active participation in the democratic process. The program was attended by prominent guests, including the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla's team, BDO Boniyar *Mr. Rayees Akhter (JKAS)* with his team, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Uri **Mr. Abdul Kareem Blote**, Heads of Institutions from PCO Churanda and Batgran, teachers, students, and residents of Churanda village. The chief guest of the program was BDO Boniyar **Mr. Rayees Akhter (JKAS)**. The event began with a beautiful welcome song by the students of Government Middle School Churanda, followed by an introductory speech by **Aftab Ahmad Kakroo**, the Zonal Cultural Coordinator (ZCC). Students from various schools, including Middle School Churanda, Middle School Batgran, Primary School Batangi, and Primary School Jabdi Churanda, presented cultural programs, delivered speeches in English, Urdu, and Gojri, and performed skits in Gojri, highlighting the importance of voting and electoral participation. *Mr. Irshad Ahmad Wani**, DLMT Baramulla, gave an inspiring speech on voter awareness, while **Mr. Ashfaq Ahmad* from the CEO Baramulla team elaborated on the objectives of the SVEEP program and its role in promoting voter participation in different areas. The former Sarpanch of Churanda, **Mr. Lal Din Khatana**, addressed the gathering, highlighting the challenges faced by the local community and commending the successful electoral practices in the region. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers for conducting such an impactful program in Churanda. *Zonal Education Officer Uri, Mr. Abdul Kareem Blote,* emphasized the importance of awareness programs like SVEEP and the critical role education plays in shaping responsible citizens and strengthening democratic values. The program concluded with a collective pledge to enhance voter awareness and encourage participation in the democratic process. This event not only educated the community about the significance of voting but also provided a platform for students to showcase their talents, contributing to the social and educational development of the area. *Mr. Aftab Ahmad Kakroo (DLMT)* and *Mr. Jahangir Latief (Teacher, BMS Churanda)* skillfully hosted the entire program.
