THE RAVE: New Mixed Climbing Route in Hyalite. 7 Pitches M10 WI3

The Rave is a new 7 pitch M10 that was put up by a group of Bozeman climbers including Matt Cornell, Conrad Anker, Whitney Stowe, Nate Kenney and Manoah Ainuu. The route features incredible, difficult, and safe mixed climbing up a beautiful overhanging wall. The route begins with a short bit of ice climbing up the Curtains drainage (WI4) and then launches into 7 mean mixed climbing pitches. We hope this route will become a hyalite classic someday. The video features Matt, Nate and Manoah making the first ascent of the route. Matt sent the route clean and got the FFA. The route is fun and safe and we encourage other people to try it. Also worth noting is that because the route stands above the curtains drainage all the loose rock was cleaned at night or during dusk to minimize the risk of hitting climbers below.
