Today's video will be an easy pound cake recipe. We will be making a pineapple pound cake with a pineapple filling and pineapple glaze. This pineapple pound cake recipe is super easy, and even a beginner can make it. My simple pound cake recipe will help you understand how to make a pineapple cake. There are a variety of pound cake recipes, and pound cakes are very versatile. Within this video, I'll be showing you how to make a pound cake for your holiday dessert. My homemade pound cake is a pound cake from scratch. I wouldn't say this is the best pound cake recipe. However, you won't be disappointed either. I hope that after watching, you'll know and understand how to make pound cake and that it's not super hard to make. #cakeforbeginner #poundcakerecipe #poundcake Pineapple Pound Cake Recipe 3 cups all-purpose flour 3 sticks unsalted butter 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar 5 large eggs 8 oz sour cream (1 cup) 20 oz can crushed pineapple in 100% pineapple juice ( 1 1/2 cup) 1/4 pineapple juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Preheat oven to 325° In a bowl sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and set aside. In a bowl drain the juice off the crushed pineapple and reserve the juice. In another bowl combine 1 cup of sour cream, 1 1/2 cup of drained crushed pineapple and 1/4 pineapple juice. Mix well and set aside. Add 3 sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature) to your mixer and mix on medium until it's smooth. Slowly add your sugar while mixing (1 cup at a time) and mix on medium for 4-5 minutes. Add one egg at a time and incorporate after each egg. Mix well. Put mixer on slow/low speed and start to add your flour 1 cup at a time. You want to alternate between your flour and sour cream mixture. Add flour 3 times and sour cream mixture 2 times. Stop mixing, push down your sides and then add 1 teaspoon on vanilla flavor or extract. Mix in well. Grease you bundt or angel food cake pan. Put cake batter into your pan and bake at 325° for 1 hour in 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center and comes out clean. If the cake isn't brown enough for you, bake for a few additional minutes. Once the cake cools off completely, add pineapple glaze and give it a few minutes to settle in, before adding your glaze. Add glaze and enjoy your pineapple pound cake! Pineapple Glaze 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup pineapple juice You can heat this in the microwave for 1 minute or do it on top of the stove.
