Now that it's come to Xbox Gamepass, I dug in and found out exactly why people got tired of it quickly: it's a bit of Ubisoft collectathon with a short campaign that takes awhile to get good. But to write it off as nothing more than an experiment would be a disservice to what it does do well, from its innovative and spectacular looking combat, authentic inspiration from Japanese culture, and it's out of nowhere emotional story.
