Cleveland weather forecast: The trend toward a colder, snowier pattern begins

Here's your Cleveland weather forecast from 3News Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling: Quiet weather continues tonight with increasing high clouds as lows fall back down to near freezing. Our next storm system slides through tomorrow with a few rain and snow showers. This system will become much better developed to our east, so we're not expecting a big deal here locally. Temps will reach the upper 30s. Quiet weather returns Thursday before our next storm system zips in here Friday. Our Friday system looks to bring snow showers to the region during the day with a transition to lake effect snow Friday night through Sunday as a batch of cold, arctic air rushes in. We're not looking for a big snow event, but accumulating snow is likely in the snowbelts (both primary and secondary) as our wind will be more out of the north at times. Snow will wind down Sunday, giving way to a warming trend leading up to Christmas. If we want a White Christmas around here, it looks like we'll have to keep the snow on the ground that falls this upcoming Friday-Sunday!
