I've always been obsessed with chokers and I often make my own, and since chokers and the 90s are all the rage lately, I thought I'd show you how to create them yourself! In this DIY I show you how to make 6 styles of chokers with over 30 variations to inspire you and get creative! I show you how to make super chic bolo wrap/lasso chokers, minimal chokers, circle chokers, loop chokers, skinny chokers and pendant chokers - the possibilities and combinations you can come up with are endless. This is why I love DIY - you get to customize your creation however you like, and even though chokers are everywhere these days, there is still no greater satisfaction than being able to say "I made it myself!". MEASUREMENTS: Use a measuring tape to determine the circumference of your neck and subtract 1 inch from this measurement in order to accommodate the metal clasps you will be adding to the ends. My neck circumference is 11,5 inches, so I simply subtract 1 inch from this measurement, which means I'd need to cut choker pieces that are 10,5 inches in length. You can add an extender chain if you're making this as a gift for someone. If you don't have extender chain, you can simply attach about 9-12 little jump rings together! TOOLS & SUPPLIES You can find all of these tools and supplies at your local craft store. INSTAGRAM: / raylenemichellestudio DISCLAIMER: I'm a self-taught sewist and DIYer, so the techniques I show you in my video are things that work for me at the time the video has been recorded. It may not necessarily be the "industry" way, but it's certainly an easy way, and I'm happy to share my learnings with you as I embark on this creative journey! Please also note that chokers should NOT be worn while sleeping and do not make them too tight. Please take care and use your own common sense when making DIYs of this nature.
