Heathkit SB104 restored

I bought a preowned Heathkit SB104 in unknown condition as a restoration project. I had to make a 11 pin power adaptor so I could power it from a standard 13.8v switched mode power supply. I also had to make a 11 pin jumper so the transmit relay would engage. During the restoration, I removed and inspected every board. I reflowed many dry solder joints and repaired a broken socket on the frequency counter which caused some intermittent display issues. I tested many of the capacitors and followed the manual’s troubleshooting tests to verify the correct functioning of the main parts of the radio. I was lucky that a previous owner had half restored it by replacing some faulty parts that would of been hard to source. It is now fully functional and I’m really enjoying using it as my main radio.
