Mid 80's, excited to see Richard Thompson, afraid to touch anything or anybody. My date told me to not bring any recording equipment because he didn't want to get tossed out if we were discovered, and that worked out because the idiot whooped and screamed all throughout the show. I added those behaviors to my List, "Why you won't ever get a second date with me again, loser." This recording was posted by el_lixir in Jan. '05. Posting Sun Ra is always a bit of a gamble because it's hard to know what is considered a commercial release. Looking through the vast and disorganiazed craziness of Sun Ra's official and unofficial discographies (made worse by his own habit of releasing his own recordings in limited lots at shows) I am not aware of this show or any part of it being commercially released or even by Transparency (which seems to be releasing everything in huge sets that are impossible to find and buy). The only 1986 Sun Ra shows that I have ever seen released are the miserable (to watch) East Berlin performance which I think Transparency released as a DVD. And the Leo Records "A Night in East Berlin," which I own as a LP. Never having seen the DVD, I don't know how the LP fits with the DVD. But nothing from this date that I can find.
