The "Polaris Experiment" recounts Danielle's traumatic experiences and recovery from a coma, which was, in fact, a prolonged spiritual journey into a terrifying "true world". Her sister, Jesse, and a mysterious organization, the Jainus Project, led by Stephen Lang, believe Danielle's ordeal is connected to a supernatural threat. They propose an experimental treatment, "Polaris," allowing the sisters to traverse dimensions and confront this evil, specifically the "mirror devil" and the "dream eaters." Their journey forces them to confront past lives, the monolith, and the cost of interdimensional travel, ultimately leading them to grapple with the ongoing threat and their altered existence.
