Cross Armory Extended Magazine Catch for Gen 4-5 is a CNC Machined Aluminum Catch Bar for Glock with an extended, but not protrusive design that can be easily installed for right or left sided shooters within minutes. The Cross Armory Extended Magazine Catch will complement any glock functionally as well as aesthetically. We designed this part because we were unsatisfied with the current options on the market. We didn’t want issues with hanging up on clothing/ gear when pulling from holster, but were also unsatisfied with smaller profile bars that made reloading mags a bit more strenuous in high stress scenarios. We have created what we believe to be the perfect balance in length, giving the shooter the ability to reload quickly and effectively. The profile of the extended magazine catch is ramped from the root of the shooters thumb, for a natural slide from the frame up to and on to the Cross Armory extended magazine catch surface. The machined ridges are designed to match the aesthetics of Glock styling as well as complement and match all the Cross Armory accessories designed specifically for Glock. The Cross Armory Extended Magazine Catch is CNC machined from 7075 T6 billet aircraft aluminum and anodized, nickel, or titanium nitride coated for corrosion resistance and color and style. It also has improved geometry making the install time minimal, finger response optimal, with increased strength and reliability. The Cross Armory Extended Magazine Catch for Glock gen 1-4 is a necessity for any Glock owner. Directions for Installation: ENSURE FIREARM IS NOT LOADED AND NO ROUND / BULLET IS IN THE CHAMBER Always wear safety glasses when working on or using any firearm. Remove the slide from the frame. Hold the frame in your hand like you would naturally when fire ready and look down into the magwell from the topside. You will see the bar that holds the magazine catch in place. Use a pick tool of some sort to get underneath the bar and move it to the right side and pull it out through the release notch. Once the bar is free use needle nose pliers to pull out the metal rod Glock uses as the magazine catch spring of the Magazine catch. Now slide out the magazine catch. Place the Cross Extended Magazine Catch into the frame in the same orientation you pulled the old magazine catch bar out, or change the orientation if you are a left handed shooter. Then use your needle nose pliers to place the metal rod used as the magazine catch spring back where you removed it from. Be sure to push the rod down a seccond time, from the top, to ensure that the rod is properly seated all the way down. Take your pick tool and push the magazine catch bar spring back through the release notch. This will set the Cross Extended Magazine Catch in place. Reinstall your slide onto the frame. Caution: The Cross Extended Magazine Catch is not a toy, this part is designed to only be used with the correct listed frames. Always wear safety glasses when working on or using any firearm. Always keep the magazine out of the gun and ensure the chamber is empty before attempting any work on a firearm. Always keep the muzzle of the firearm pointed in a safe direction. Never work on a firearm if you are unsure of your abilities on the matter. It is better to be safe and have a gunsmith work on it for you or with you. Cross recommends that you have all aftermarket parts installed by a qualified gun smith whenever possible.
