P&O Arvia Mediterranean cruise ..Barcelona.. Cadiz gets Cancelled 🤬

It was July the 1st and we awoke to beautiful sunshine just as the ship was coming into the port of Barcelona . We were slightly late reaching our berth because the port was very busy as we had to wait for a container ship to manoeuvre. Breakfast was had in the quays then we disembarked the ship and caught the shuttle bus into the city . After a 10 minute ride we were dropped off by the cable car station , after another 8 minutes we arrived at the start of Las Ramblas . Our destination was going to be the food market Mercat de la Boqueria .After an enjoyable time in the market we headed further into the city . Our next stop was the Arc de triomf and then further down the street to the Parc de la Ciutadella where we spent some time feeding the Parakeets. We then headed back towards the market again where we found a lovely Tapas bar and enjoyed a spot of lunch with a nice glass of wine . After a very nice time we headed back to get on one of the shuttle buses, a big shout out to P&O the shuttle bus service was excellent. After a very relaxing few hours on the Balcony it was time to go out for the evening , we headed for the Amber lounge where we enjoyed a pre dinner drink before heading to the Zenith restaurant. It was during our dinner that the Captain came over the tannoy system to tell us that Cadiz which was going to be our next port of call was now cancelled. We were very disappointed as this is one of our favourite ports . They did find an alternative port to visit which was the port of Vigo , somewhere we hadn't been to for many years . We finished the evening in the Headliners Theatre to see and listen to a very good rock and roll pianist Harrison Treble .
