And honestly? It turned out to be one of my favourite days in the city. We started the morning with a peaceful walk through the Jardin des Tuileries — and right now, it feels extra special because of the Olympic Cauldron Balloon 🎈 floating above the city. It was first lit during the 2024 Olympics, and now it feels like a permanent piece of Paris sky. From there, we wandered over to the fountain (locals call it Le Grand Bassin), and I couldn’t resist pointing out my favourite seats in front of Musée de l’Orangerie. Best spot for a view of Place de la Concorde! Inside the Orangerie, of course, we had to see Monet’s Water Lilies 🌸. The two oval rooms are just breathtaking. Honestly, you can sit there for hours and feel the whole world quiet down. Downstairs, the museum also has works from Picasso, Renoir, Modigliani, and more — such a gem in Paris. After a few hours of art, it was time for coffee. We stopped at Motors Coffee ☕ — and if you haven’t had their cinnamon roll, please do yourself a favour! It’s the kind of place buzzing with young creatives, so I did feel a little old there… but in the best way. Next, we slowed down along the Canal Saint-Martin 💧. Locals sketching, dogs playing, couples walking — it’s one of the calmest places in the city. For lunch, we tried Breizh Café. They serve authentic buckwheat galettes from Brittany — savoury, nutty, delicious. Definitely not your average crêpe. And then, back to fashion! We had tickets to the Dior Exhibition 👗. This one really touched me. You get to see Monsieur Dior’s journey, from his lucky star ✨ that changed his life, to the magical stage designs, to the incredible craftsmanship behind each gown. The miniature dresses and the atelier displays were my absolute highlights. Seamstresses, bravo! By evening, we met friends for dinner at Le Bon Georges 🍷. It’s such a warm, very French bistro — not touristy at all. The wine list is as big as a bible 😂 and the rice pudding dessert was pure comfort.
