Some of the best product ideas don’t start in a boardroom. They start around a campfire. Korey Haun shares the story behind Stumpy a synthetic chopping block inspired by a family camping trip and built to be as practical as it is tough. The concept came from that familiar “cooler mentality” outdoors: one object that can handle multiple roles—storage, a seat, and a reliable surface you can actually use. Korey had a prototype and a vision, but he needed a path from concept to reality. After being told by other firms that the idea would “never fly,” he walked into Onetwosix with a small prototype, and we got to work. From day one, the conversation wasn’t just about what it could be. It was about how it gets made. We pulled manufacturing partners into the process early, bringing engineers and makers to the table so the product could be designed for manufacturability from the start. Through testing, refinement, and iteration, Stumpy stayed true to the original idea—while becoming more refined, more user-ready, and built for real-world use. Korey sums it up best: finding a partner who could support engineering, manufacturing, and marketing in one place took the stress off and helped keep the product alive and moving forward. Now Stumpy is gearing up for launch in Canada, with eyes on expansion into the U.S. and we’re proud to be part of that journey. https://www.stumpy.net/ If you’ve got an idea and need a partner to help you bring it to market, let’s talk.
