Aun Rahman shares his perspective on football as a cultural phenomenon through his roles as a supporter, journalist, pundit, and professional club staff member. Growing up in Bandung, his connection to the supporter culture of Persib Bandung shaped his understanding of identity, community, and belonging. Through personal stories and thoughtful examples, he illustrates how football supporters represent more than a sporting audience, they are a living cultural force. Aun explains that what sustains this culture is not merely the game on the pitch, but a powerful sense of collective effervescence: a shared emotional experience that unites individuals into a collective identity. In an increasingly individualistic world, he highlights how the culture of football fandom stands as a rare and meaningful expression of unity, loyalty, and shared purpose. Aun Rahman is a journalist and football pundit with a strong interest in the intersection of sports and culture. He holds a Master of Science in European Studies and currently works within the professional football industry. Throughout his career, he has contributed to prominent sports media platforms such as Pandit Football, Football Tribe Asia, Fox Sports Asia, and Box2Box Football, combining academic insight with first-hand experience in the global football landscape.
