[ Absolute Wild ] St. Ninians Isle beach is a large natural sand causeway with sea on either side. On the west coast of Shetland, it links the South Mainland with the Isle. There is a small shop and public toilet near the beach which is ideal for camping. I spent 4 days wild camping on the hill next to the beach, the wind can get up to 30-40mph on top of the hill so make sure you have a proper tent if you are planning to stay overnight. You are most likely to get the entire beach by yourself as it’s not easy to get to this location. Travelling to this beach from Aberdeen will take about 14-18hrs. You can find out the bus time from the tourist information centre in Lerwick. The connection bus between Channerwick and Bigton only runs at specific time so make sure you plan your journey properly otherwise you will have to walk from Channerwick to the beach which will take about an hour. Aberdeen to Lerwick (ferry: 12-14hrs) Lerwick to Channerwick (bus: 20min) Channerwick to Bigton (bus: 5min or walk: 50min) Bigton to St Ninian’s Beach (walk: 10min) Location: St Ninian’s Isle, Shetland, Scotland Date: 08/09/2018 - 11/09/2018 Camera: DJI Spark Drone & iPhone 6S & GoPro Hero 5 Session Photographer: Philip Yeung Editing Software: LumaFusion (iPad Pro) Instagram: absolute_wild Business enquiries: ysc42096@gmail.com
