What kind of glue is best for gluing paper? As a collage artist, I want my finished collage art piece to stay stuck together forever…or at least stick together for a long, long, time. In this video, I test all the glues that I have ever used to make a paper collage artwork by using each glue to stick a piece of scrapbook paper down to a sheet of watercolour paper. After 2 weeks, I give each glue a score out of 5 points based on a set criteria. Some glues definitely work better than others. I also discuss how the artist is implicated in how well the glue works. Though I work in the medium of collage art, my findings apply to anyone who uses glue on paper, whether that be for scrapbooking, junk journaling, school or craft projects, or even mixed media art.
