Sierra de la Culebra & Peneda-Gerês National Park | Wolf Watching | 2023

For this pilgrimage I spent 25 days weaving between the North of Spain and Portugal. The trip was primarily focussed on wolf watching, where I was uniquely lucky to witness 4 wild wolves in the Sierra de la Culebra. This video shows what I did beyond wolf watching to pass the time. After 2 weeks in the Sierra de la Culebra I headed to Portugal via North-West Spain and spent a week in the beautiful Peneda-Gerês National Park where I didn't wolf watch but where I was still blessed with amazing wildlife including snakes, pine martins, vultures and herds of ibex. I wild camped for the majority of the trip but spent 2 nights in hostels, a night in a van and a night in a Spanish house. The Spanish showed amazing hospitality as I hitchhiked across the country and I'm really grateful for the friends I made!
