She started her career as a dentist by pursuing her BDS degree from Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute, Ludhiana. She had got coaching from a renowned coaching centre in New Delhi. She believed that one can crack the UPSC examination without getting into costly coaching institutions and by only referring to the internet and how the internet has everything that an applicant needs. The desire and aspirations to compete in the CSE are there in almost all students in India. These aspirations are either nurtured by their parents and relatives or through inspiration from successful candidates or from their peers, generally during college time.
