$1,250 Mike Ramsey's Chanterelle Bacon tonering banjo is a siren. This one is inlayed with a Gryphon in the ebony overlain headstock . The grained ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard displays a shooting star in abalone and pearl at the fifth and 8 medium sized etched squares that form highly festive diamonds. The last 3" of the fretboard is scooped and fretless. This banjo has a Renaissance translucent Mylar banjo head and, on the inside, the "cupped" or "trough" 1 ¼" wide nickel-plated bell-bronze tone ring that was popularized by Bacon in the late teens and '20s. This banjo has 24 brackets, nuts and shoes, a flame maple three-piece neck that is resplendent with curl and stripe. It has a figured maple central wood dowel. It has four Planet-style headstock tuners and a Gotoh brand geared fifth string peg and all five have matching ivoroid buttons. The neck, pot and dowel stick are all figured maple and very gorgeous. And the sound is stunning, an old timey mistress with a blackbook thicker than the bible. She's got some secrets. Comes with OG hardshell case. http://bernunzio.com/product/mike-ram...
