Double Displacement Reactions Chad provides a comprehensive lesson Double Displacement Reactions (also called Double Replacement, Exchange, or Metathesis Reactions). Three types of Double Displacement Reactions are covered: precipitation reactions, acid-base neutralization reactions, and gas-forming reactions. It is shown both how to predict the products of a Double Displacement Reactions and how to balance them. Net Ionic Equations Finally, it is shown how to write the Molecular Equation, how to identify strong electrolytes and separate them into ions in order to write the Complete Ionic Equation, and then how to identify and eliminate spectator ions in order to write the Net Ionic Equation. I've embedded this playlist as a course on my website with all the lessons organized by chapter in a collapsible menu and much of the content from the study guide included on the page.
