I wanted a bit better handling from my 2017 Subaru Outback, especially when towing a light trailer. I measured the front sway bar, and found it to be 21mm and wanted something similar for the rear. I found this upgrade kit on Amazon, and it fit my needs. After 200 miles of testing this setup, I noticed that the car is more neutral steering, meaning it doesn’t oversteer (back end comes out) or understeer (front end feels like it is plowing straight in a turn). Matching the front sway diameter with a 21mm rear sway bar, not only made the car handle better, but there is less rear squat during hard acceleration. The car feels like most Audi (A6) and BMW (5) large wagons I have driven before.
