On this .375 Holland and Holland we start with a 2" Krieger barrel blank, a Granite Mountain Arms actions, and a piece of English walnut. We then fit it to the receiver, and machine integral front and rear sight ramps, recoil lug, and sling swivel. After making a pattern stock we machine the English walnut blank into the general shape of the finished stock on a stock duplicator. It's then hand inletted, shaped and finished. The wrap around checkering is done at 24LPI and finished with a mullered border. The slow rust blue finish is applied next to the hand polished metal work. This process takes a week to complete, alternating between applying an acid to the metal work to cause rust, boiling the parts, and carding off the excess. We then show some of the range time we put in before any rifle is shipped. The gun is thoroughly tested for function and accuracy.
