For this “Broke Down in Jennyville” video, I wanted to pay honor to one of my biggest musical influences- Roger Miller. Roger was one of the whackiest & creative minds of his time- but he also had the ability to carve out gorgeous depth into everything he wrote. His work is some that I look to when I am writing something humorous, but also want it to be enlightening. “River in The Rain” could be considered a big detour from a lot of his well known humorous hits, but to me, it's a continuation of the profundity that can be found in all of his writing. So, here is my ode to one of the great writers who helped shape me and form my own little crazy world. Subscribe for more releases!
