From the American drama mystery thriller TV series, The Perfectionists, which premiered on 20th March 2019. A sequel to Pretty Little Liars, it is the third series in the PLL franchise. In Part 2 (S1 E02)… In the wake of Nolan’s murder, Dylan is having recurring nightmares about his affair, with Nolan's words, "I want you to kiss me" replaying over and over in his head. He wakes up with a start and confides in Andrew that he wishes he could avoid sleep altogether. Andrew wants to help him, but Dylan assures him that just being there is helping. He says that Nolan is haunting him in death as he did in life, which Andrew thinks strange as he is under the belief that Dylan did Nolan's work because they were close friends. Dylan brushes it off as just his insomnia talking and says he would prefer to talk about anything other than Nolan. Andrew coyly suggests that, as College is closed for 3 days, there’s no reason to get out of bed. Dylan seductively asks him why he is on top of the covers and not under them with him, and they make out. The next day, Dylan bumps into Caitlin at the Cochran Student Union. As they talk, he states that they don't know each other very well despite being forced to be Nolan's fake friends. All they know about each other is what they read from the school yearbook, which is how Nolan wanted it as he did not want them to be real friends. Their conversation is cut short by the television announcing that Nolan's death has been officially ruled a homicide. Caitlin turns to Dylan asking him if they were going to pretend that their conversation in the woods didn't happen. He tells her that it was just that - a conversation. He tries to call Ava, but her phone goes straight to voicemail. This is probably because Ava wants nothing to do with Dylan or Caitlin, having told them that they were the ones with secrets, not her. When Dylan gets back to the dorm, Andrew asks him if anyone else knows that Dylan was doing Nolan's work for him. He says the paper Dylan wrote for the class assignment on Agatha Christie lays out a convincing argument as to why murder is justified to end a hostile grip on someone. He asks if the paper was about Nolan, and if Nolan had something on Dylan that he didn't want Andrew to know. Dylan explains that in his hometown, people made him feel there was something wrong with him for being gay, so the paper was about his homophobic tormentors, not Nolan. The following day, at Nolan’s funeral, Dylan, Caitlin and Ava decide they must keep up public appearances until they get to the truth about who murdered Nolan. So, Caitlin continues to play the part of Nolan's (fake) grieving girlfriend and the other two continue the pretence of being Nolan’s faithful friends. They reach out, perhaps genuinely, to comfort each other. But Alison suspects that all is not as it seems, and all three receive a text from her telling them they should talk. They look over their shoulder at Alison who smiles and waves to them, before refocusing their attention on the service. In their next class, Ava has changed her stance towards the other two, and thanks them for being concerned for her well-being. Alison goes toe to toe with Dana Booker, BHU’s new head of security, who is also suspicious of Nolan’s “perfect” posse, and takes them out of class to question them about their alibis for the night of the murder. Alison jumps in and gives the three Perfectionists a credible alibi on the night in question and, much to their surprise, says “Bring it on, bitch” as Dana walks away.
