The DC Modular Society partnered with the Virginia Loudon County Public Library for an all ages listening lab and concert. The Modular Synthesis Listening Lab is an educational program featuring short performances, live presentations, and a discussion. This performance features the legendary POB (Patrick OBrien) with an epic, cinematic set. To match his style, I created several audio reactive patches with my video synthesizer that use the frequencies of the audio output to create a colorful, blooming visualization that moves with POB’s sweeping textures and soundscape. I also used some chroma key and masking effects to add visual interest and layering complexity to the projection.
