This test was run on two different types of tape; TDK D60 (tape made in Japan/assembled in the USA) for Type I and TDK SA-X (Made in Japan) for Type II The test starts on Type one at 10kHz and shows astonishing handling of consistent signal up to 23kHz, while going up until no reading was possible on the on-board meter at about 29kHz; the noise was present in a 2db limit from 19kHz to 21,5kHz and surprisingly became very stable at 0,5 DB from 23KHz to 24kHz. On Type II The signal had no bigger drop than 0,5 in noise allover the spectrum up to 27kHz. We did not achieve as great results with our excellent Nakamichi ZX-7, nor with our Akai GX 912. The Akai was closer by 1Khz than the Nak. The Oscilloscope was connected to the headphone plug to show that we record the real thing. After the deck performed the auto tuning, the override BIAS was left at 0 and so was the "Trim". Do I need to mention that music is a lot less demanding and sounds simply incredible on this machine, no matter of the source of the recording? Well... All this was achieved after having it hyper fine tuned :)
