Filmed on 1.10.2012. This is elevator T1.H1 at Lastenlinna former children's ward, Meilahti Hospital. This elevator is tower elevator. First Lastenlinna hospital worked in Kallio between 1917 and 1967. Current Lastenlinna building was completed in 1948 and connecting annex building was completed in 1959. Children's ward of Lastenlinna was discontinued on September 2018 when New Children's Hospital was completed close to this building. Lastenlinna doesn't work as hospital anymore and now it's standing without purpose. This elevator was originally made by KONE in 1948 and later modernized by Schindler in 2003. The shaft cage has remained original. Schindler modernized elevator interior and buttons and installed indicators and automatic doors. The elevator had gate doors before modernization. The elevator has a rectangular window. The shaft cage has remained original.
