Rolling into March full steam ahead 👊 Join me at the historic Rex Hotel for my weekly Sunday Live Stream from Saigon, Vietnam 🇻🇳 where I've lived for the past 15 years 🙌 Ask those questions you have about life, travelling, living and working in this amazing country! See you in the chat! ***Note, the wifi dropped out for a bit, but hang in there, it comes back! Post-Live Stream: During the live stream, a question was asked about airline ticket prices, as promised, here's the contact details for a Vietnam Airlines Ticket Office in Ho Chi Minh City, where domestic and international air tickets can be booked and purchased in-person, sometimes it's just easier to book this way: 15B Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1, HCMC +84 19001100 Why have domestic airfares in Vietnam increased? This question (or one like it) came up during the live stream, so I've done a little research and found the following: "The prices of domestic flight tickets in Vietnam have been experiencing double-digit increases, ranging from 15% to nearly 30%. This can be attributed to various factors, such as inflation, the rising costs of fuel and operations, and a shortage of aircraft, caused by manufacturers Airbus and Boeing recalling aircraft to repair the engines. An increasing number of people are therefore opting to travel by alternative means of transportation, such as bus or train, for domestic trips, or choosing to travel abroad, where they can spend the same amount, or even less." I hope that helps!
