NSIB Investigates Arik Air Engine Failure

On February 11, 2026, Arik Air Flight 5N-MJF experienced a serious engine failure during a flight from Lagos to Port Harcourt. The crew detected abnormal engine indications, followed by a loud bang from the left engine, which prompted a precautionary shutdown and a safe diversion to Benin Airport.
