On June 25th, 2022, I took a ride on the Hoosier Valley Railroad. Today's power is neatly painted Erie Lackawanna #310. We also saw crew members training on their steam engine Bock Lumber #1, an 0-4-4, originally built in 1908 and as a narrow gauge locomotive. Train rides are typically on every Saturday during the summer, and special events. Most of the equipment used for the railroad is kept inside during the week, and brought out for the weekend. North Judson, Indiana. Originally built in 1947, this Alco S1 was built as Erie #310. Its prime mover came from a different Alco, and is serial number 75121. The museum received this engine as a donation in 1997. The website for the railroad museum is below. http://www.hoosiervalley.org/ Copyright Brad Noyes 2022 Photo 39 Fire and Rail
