Enigmatis 2, the second in the trilogy, was released in 2013. It introduced a few new puzzles as well as a new pair-matching mode in place of the hidden object levels and a new 3d modeling style for character talk-sprites. It's considered overwhelming positive in it's reviews on steam and while I wouldn't say it's better than the original, it's not bad by any means. It just takes a while to get used to the change in style. There are a number of guides out there for getting through it if I was going too fast or you can't make out the specifics.
