#Videoshows #RussianYouTuber #strikingWestern https://gotopnews.com/post/2731356 A US Army soldier fires an AT4 anti-armor weapon during an exercise at the Vaziani Training Grounds in Georgia in 2019. This picture is not about the story. US ArmyExp. Ethan Valletski Russian vlogger Alexey Smirnov posts videos where he examines and tests various weapons. Smirnov was mocked after he posted online a video of him misfiring a Swedish anti-tank gun. In video, Smirnov hits him in the face for failing to hold launcher properly. A video shows Russian soldier YouTuber hitting a Western anti-tank gun in the face with recoil after he mishandled it. Alexey Smirnov, a former journalist, reviews, tests and compares various weapons on his YouTube channel Large Caliber Commotion. In an episode first aired three months ago, Smirnov compares Soviet and Western anti-tank weapons, including the Swedish AT4. It is not clear where he got the Swedish gun. At one point in the video, Smirnov tries to fire the shoulder-gun at a tank and announces "Here's our regular AT4 ... let's see how it handles a T72 tank." The vlogger goes on to explain that the launcher works while playing with it, and says it didn't feel "very smooth" at one point. As Smirnov prepares fire, he does not appear to be holding the AT4's front grip, which is designed help stabilize the gun while aiming. The video then shows him pulling the trigger and causing the gun to shoot back in his face. Then he falls backwards and shouts "Oh, dammit ... you bastard!" While a cameraman offers to help him, the video is cut off when Smirnov catches his eye on his back. A text that says "Thank you for your understanding" then appears on the screen. In the next shot, Smirnov has a visible bruise around his eye as he stands in front of the tank. "Okay, let's have a look before my eye swells completely," he says. "That's why I keep saying that NATO supplies ty ammunition." "Are you saying that as a hitman, you're expected to have panda eyes every time you start a mission?" he says, later adding "Honestly, I'm a little nauseous." The clip resurfaced on social media this week and was instantly ridiculed when some Twitter users commented that the vlogger had to "read the goddamn manual". The Kyiv Independent's defense correspondent, Illia Ponomarkeno, posted clip alongside another video showing American soldiers accurately firing the launcher while holding forearm. Ponomarkenko wrote "Russians" side by side. Smirnov goes by the name Krupnokalibernyy Perepolokh on YouTube. He started his military vlogs in 2020 and has around 1.5 million followers at the time of writing. In addition to anti-tank weapons, Smirnov also studies tanks with grenades, flamethrowers and armored personnel carriers.
