Padmavibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj ji - a name which personifies Kathak in every sense - is a multifaceted personality and is known for his aesthetic style of writing and composing. I feel lucky to have found such a unique composition which beautifully unfolds the various nuances of Kathak. But naturally, I couldn't resist the desire of choreographing it!! The whole process of highlighting every minute detail was definitely challenging, yet, extremely motivating!! I humbly offer this piece to my Guru, Pta. Maneesha tai Sathe, who has forever been my greatest source of inspiration and to Pt. Birju Maharaj ji, who has penned such a wonderful composition. The outcome of this group choreography is definitely worth a watch, for which I warmly thank Mugdha Dsouza, for the exceptional videography and editing, and Harshavardhan Pathak for the outstanding designing of lights.
