MTE P3I8 and WiRib concept

( Prototype #3 Iteration #8 ) A 3D printed concept for a morphing wing. The TE has a skin of 0.025 in thick. A lip around 1/4" from either end allows an oscispine rib to be slotted into the wing. This model also has a slot for a servo motor to sit on top of the wing to allow deflection. This concept did not work with an Oscispine rib and control horn which are not one piece. Secondly, the WiRib concept is demonstrated, where a hole pierced through the top and bottom of the oscispine rib allow a wire to be inserted. When stressed, the wire induces upward and downward deflection in the rib. This concept will be explored in future modelling.
