Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals - Solo Platinum Grandmaster Nightfall Completion on a Warlock / Grandmaster A Garden World Solo 1100 Max Difficulty Platinum Rank / Grandmaster Destiny Nightfall Solo All Champions Defeated. Just a video of a solo Grandmaster A Garden World Nightfall The Ordeal for this week, defeating all of the champions for a platinum rank. Details below. This was actually stupid. Not because it's incredibly difficult, but it's just so damn slow and boring to clear this nightfall with all the champions this way. There's multiple double stacked Barrier Champions, countless Overload Champions (which are still incredibly buggy btw), and there's no real good places to deal with a lot of those without taking them slowly. You mostly can't be close enough to consistently stagger the Barriers without using Erianna's Vow, so that leaves very little options as to what you can actually use in the heavy slot. This means you can't deal with Overloads without some kiting and multiple staggers. So I settled with this loadout, and finding places I could kite the Overload Champions repeatedly and slowly work them down. That in itself causes issues, because sometimes the Overload Champions will just ape and charge you regardless. Overload rounds on weapons sometimes don't proc and leaves you out in the open. Or the Nova Bomb won't correctly track the extra projectiles, making it so it's not low enough to finish and the Overload will probably kill you. The worst being the one that spawns in the second last section before the boss. As you could see here, the first Nova Bomb didn't correctly detonate and nearly got me killed. The rest of the strike is just long and boring. You have a needless path through the Infinite Forest that wastes 5-10 minutes, and then having to take your time to deal with every single Champion. You can get unlucky and have the Barrier Champions double stack and block all your shots, and there's nothing you can do about that. I've even had an Overload Champion teleport into the ground to dodge a Nova Bomb, and then come out and kill me lol. I went for the boss fight cheese with this run, which sometimes doesn't work either. But it's better than the alternative of spending 50 minutes to get to the boss with crap weapons and having to work that down with a very suboptimal boss setup. I might do another run on a Hunter without the "boss cheese" and just do the boss itself, but invis is pretty cheesy anyway. So I'll see if I'm not too busy to get a run of that going. I was also going to edit out all the long downtimes and waiting for various abilities or supers, but I decided to just leave it as is. Lastly, this Nightfall is also bugged if you come out of the Infinite Forest too quickly. Simply backtrack to make sure the checkpoint properly loads.
