Live Retro: Super Mario 64 for the Commodore 64!

7 years in the making, the original Nintendo game of Super Mario Bros has been ported to the Commodore 64! The team behind is has done a remarkable job of porting SMB to work on the C64 using the SID sound chip. Both the original NES and C64 use the 6502 cpu, but that doesnt mean the software is compatible. The graphics chips, memory allocation of video and sound and sprites and I/O and and and... are all different. So these coders had to do a lot of work. As a programmer (and a retro gamer), I'm impressed with the result of their effort and looking forward to experiencing it myself - on an authentic Commodore 64!
