Thank you for tuning in! Tonight lunar observer and longtime Moon expert Robert Reeves will join us for an evening focused on our nearest neighbor in space. He’ll share what decades of careful observation have taught him, along with lunar images that reveal just how much there still is to notice when we take the time to really look. We’ll begin at 6:00 p.m. Central Time. Robert will also help set the stage for an event worth marking on the calendar. On March 3, on the same day of the 177th Global Star Party, we’ll experience the first total lunar eclipse visible anywhere in the world since September 7–8, 2025—and the last one until the New Year’s Eve eclipse of 2028–2029. This eclipse unfolds between 08:44 and 14:22 UTC, which translates to 3:44 to 9:22 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday morning. Events like this reward a little preparation. Knowing what you’re seeing—and why it looks the way it does—can turn a glance at the Moon into a much deeper experience. www.explorescientific.com/REEVES #lunareclipse #bloodmoon #themoon #astronomicalleague #alcon #starparty #stargazing #GSP177 #globalstarparty #explorealliance #explorescientific #RASC #astronomy #explorescientific
