[01] Dinkie Dino: Let's bring it back to life!

This is Dinkie Dino, a defective virtual pet I got from a friend. Let's bring it back to life! I did a general cleaning on it, using isopropyl alcohol. As you can see, there was corrosion on the battery contacts, creating a bump preventing contact between the battery and the Dinkie board. Fortunately, I didn't have to resort to soldering. Cleaning alone solved the problem. But if the problem comes back or the corrosion shows signs of growing, I'll make a more invasive repair. For now, I'm just going to take care of the growth of this unique child that resides inside. SPOILERS: As you can see at the end of the video, there was not a dinosaur or a random animal, but a human child, so this toy is not original. Unfortunately, the product I used to clean it removed the ink from the logo. It's a shame, but we'll move on.
