The Pathfinder Railtours 'The Southern Mariner' of Sunday 12th December 1993 ran as their usual pre-Christmas tour, featuring a variety of then relatively unusual freight locomotives. A bonus highlight was the use of 33202 to rescue the train at Woking after 56047 was declared a failure. The train ran as 1Z60, 09:30 Bristol Temple Meads circular(ish) to Newhaven Marine and back. Locomotives used: From Bristol Temple Meads to Eastleigh: 59002 "Yeoman Enterprise" 56054 "British Steel Llanwern" From Eastleigh to Preston Park: 60053 'John Reith" (not seen in this video) From Preston Park to Brighton: 09026 From Brighton to Newhaven Marine: 73106 From Newhaven Marine to London Victoria: 37194 "British International Freight Association" From London Victoria to Woking: 56047 From Woking to Salisbury: 33202 "The Burma Star" - rescue engine, not scheduled to work the tour From Salisbury to Bristol Temple Meads: 56054 "British Steel Llanwern" 33208 was passed at Clapham Junction, it was working a permanent way train, shortly after another 33 was passed in the same permanent way block. 56054 failed at Woking and was removed from the train by 33202 which then worked the train to Salisbury. At Salisbury a 59 worked stone train passed, which may have been hauled by 59002 but the video resolution was so poor the name and number plates are unreadable.
