#chokailbanda#saazadventurevlogs#tourismpakistan Text: From Zubair Torwali's wall #Chugail in the lap of the majestic #Kushujan (about 6000 meters) in the #Mankiyal valley in #Bahrain #Swat has lately become the most cherished place for hikers, local and from rest of #Pakistan. The reason seems to be its easy, short but steep treks from the hamlets #Sehri and summer abode #KamarKhaw (ChaiKaen) in the Mnakiyal valley. When one treks the steep trail for two hours after getting off some four wheeler at Kamar Khaw and opens eyes at more than 4 kilometres vast green and full of wild flowers plateau in the lap of snow capped peaks one forgets all the fatigue and feels the fairies flying all around. The #Kushujan peak is hidden here behind many smaller peaks and it takes two days treks to reach at the base camp of this peak which could be seen from the mount of #Malakand and from the bend of #Barikot. Elders say this peak could be seen from #QilaBalaHisar when there were few people and less pollution in the atmosphere. The pyramid like mount in the picture on the eastern side, on your right when you face the peaks above #Chugail, is locally known as #K2-2. Its height is less than #Kushujan. There are four summer hamlets in #Chugail with their own names. The interesting thing about this fairy abode is that cattle are not allowed to this pasture until July 15 each year; and the locals hire two watchmen for two months before July 15 in order to keep cattle away from it. And when the ban is lifted all of the over 100 huts get their dwellers in a couple of days along with hundreds of cattle and thousands of sheep and goats. Thus the green hill grass is allowed to all and sundry at one particular time in a communistic arrangement. Every body is welcome here when the pasture is banned for cattle. The locals are very peaceful and cooperative. The pasture huts are houses in good form. One can stay at these houses provided he/she does not harm the interior or exterior of it. What I fear that soon #Chugail will also be full of trash and litter; and this scares me more! Juts got home after being among the fairies and in the lap of pure nature there for four days with Aftab Ahmad Angel, Mujahid Torwali, Fazal Hadi, Rahim Sabir, Noor Rehman Torwali, Sajjad Khan, Abdul Malik and Khan Zada. Lucky to have such youthful enlightened and well traveled team! And when you have an event manager like Noor Rehman Torwali you will surely be brimming with merriment!
