Dji Avata 2 | Second Test Flight | Adjusting Rates For Smoother Flight

Recently, I started tweaking my DJI Neo’s rates to achieve smoother and more precise control. In this video, I take the DJI Avata 2 out for its second test flight and quickly realize that the stock rates don’t quite suit my personal preference. So, just like with the Neo, I adjusted them—and you can see exactly how I did it and how it impacted my flying experience. This isn’t a flashy FPV edit; it’s simply a documentation of my second flight with the Avata 2 and my honest thoughts on how it flies compared to the DJI Neo, based on my personal experience. Rates are highly personal, and while I do share the settings I initially got from ChatGPT, I’ve made further adjustments to match my needs. I may continue tweaking them over time. Please note that this isn’t a tutorial or advice—if you’re an FPV hobbyist like me, you’ll need to experiment and find what works best for you. 📌 Timestamps: • 00:00 - Intro, setting up • 01:09 - Flying with stock rates • 02:00 - Changing rates • 03:19 - Flying with the new rates • 07:10 - Crashing into a tree • 07:45 - Checking, cleaning and rebooting • 10:45 - Continuing practice with new rates • 20:36 - Testing until battery power runs out Gear and settings used: Dji Avata 2 (4K 60FPS, EIS off, 4:3 Aspect Ratio, ND 16 filter, Camera Tilt 25º, Full Manual Mode, M Mode Attitude Limit off) Dji Goggles 3 Dji FPV Controller 3 Dji Action 4(4K 60FPS, ND 8 filter, D-Log M, Horizon Balancing) Necklace mount Edited with: CapCut Pro GyroFlow (10% smooth, 16:9 Aspect Ratio)
