Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department responds to a 50 car pileup with 2 extrications and MCI Level II

JFRD responded to a major accident on I-95 on a wet highway. This pileup extended farther than a quarter of a mile and included up to 50 vehicles involved. Access was difficult as traffic was halted in both directions. In the center of the wreckage were two extrications to two separate vehicles. In total, this was a MCI Level II with 12 people being transported, of the 12, two were deemed serious injuries.
